DDDDK tag is a polypeptide protein tag that can be added to a protein using recombinant DNA technology, which allows elution under non-denaturing conditions. The DDDDK tag is likely to be located on the surface of a fusion protein because of its hydrophilic nature, and therefore is more likely to be accessible to antibodies.
